Admission
The grounds are free. Standard interior admission is JPY 300 for adults and JPY 150 for primary and junior high school students. Special viewing costs JPY 800 for adults or JPY 400 for children; the Treasure Hall costs JPY 400.

Published hours differ: the Onomichi tourism association lists 08:00–17:00, while the Japan Heritage introduction lists 09:00–16:00. Before an interior visit, confirm available times and areas. Temple events or repairs may restrict interior access.

How to get to Jodoji Temple in Onomichi
Walk about 15 minutes from Onomichi Station to the lower Senkoji Ropeway station, then about another 20 minutes to Jodoji. Return to the station along the same route. Allow extra time for meals and finding your way. Alternatively, take an eastbound bus from Onomichi Station for about seven minutes and get off at Jodoji-shita. The temple is immediately accessible from the stop, but check return bus times and fares separately.
