The official one-day fare is JPY 870 for an adult aged 12 or over and JPY 430 for a child aged 6–11. Compare it with the total ordinary fares for your own journey, not a sample itinerary.

Covered trains and the one-day period

Choose the day you will travel and check the validity date printed on the ticket. It is a one-day product, not a 24-hour entitlement inferred from the moment you board.

You can use non-reserved seats in Ordinary Cars on the covered JR local and rapid trains within Tokyo’s 23 wards. Match each destination station to the official coverage map. Tokyo Metro, Toei Subway and private railways are not included merely because they serve the same city.

Buy it at a JR East reserved-seat ticket vending machine within the covered area. Select Tokyo Metropolitan District Pass, also called Tokunai Pass, rather than JAPAN RAIL PASS or JR TOKYO Wide Pass.
