A day out beyond central Tokyo

If you plan a return journey in the covered Tokyo-area network with stops along the way, compare this pass with the fares for that route. Its holiday and seasonal date rules matter: a weekday trip is eligible only within one of the specified seasonal periods.

IC-card purchase and boarding

This is an IC-card-only discount ticket. Do not assume that every Mobile Suica or Welcome Suica product supports it. Confirm that your particular card can hold this ticket before selecting it at the machine.

Buy it at a JR East reserved-seat ticket vending machine in the covered area, except for the areas excluded from sales. A station having a machine does not establish support for every IC card type.

Touch the eligible IC card on the gate reader. If you travel outside the designated zone, the extra fare can be charged to the card balance when sufficient funds are available. Check the boundary stations and your remaining balance.

Rail coverage and separate supplements

The covered routes include JR local and rapid trains, the Rinkai Line and Tokyo Monorail, in non-reserved seats. Use the official map to check the full area.

A limited express journey needs a separate limited express ticket. The pass cannot be used on the Shinkansen; buying a supplement does not turn it into Shinkansen coverage.

The official English summary does not set out all card-specific refund or purchase-change conditions. Confirm them with JR East for your actual card and ticket before buying, rather than using a paper exchange-order refund rule.
