ZIPAIR Vancouver–Narita: check-in and disruption documents
ZIPAIR checks in at Vancouver’s international check-in area on the third floor, and at Narita Terminal 1’s North Wing on the fourth floor. Finish check-in and checked-bag drop at least one hour before departure. For a delay or cancellation certificate, use ZIPAIR’s own date-and-route or flight-number search.
Reviewed October 2, 2026. The Vancouver route and these airport locations are supported by ZIPAIR’s current information. ZG21 was observed arriving at Narita on October 1 and ZG22 departing on October 2; the records below show dated Japan event times. A complete weekly timetable, Canadian clock times and permanent counter rows are not established; no live status is supplied by this article.
Departing Vancouver—or returning from Narita?
Vancouver departure
ZIPAIR’s airport information specifies the international check-in area, third floor. Follow the day’s ZIPAIR signs; a fixed row or counter number was not established.
Narita departure
The same official guide specifies Terminal 1, North Wing, 4F. This is the check-in location—not your departure gate.
ZIPAIR’s counter-opening FAQ says check-in opens three hours before departure and closes one hour before. This is general relative timing, not a confirmed appointment for an individual flight. A delayed departure does not establish a later cut-off.
Under ZIPAIR’s baggage instructions, checked bags must be handed over at least one hour before departure. If transferring from another airline, collect your bag and re-check it with ZIPAIR; do not assume it will be transferred automatically.
Delay certificate is different from boarding certificate
Open Certificate of Delay / Cancellation and search by route and date, or flight number and date. The page requests the three digits following ZG. An available search screen does not prove that your flight was disrupted; the issue window and delay threshold were not established in the reviewed instructions.
ZIPAIR’s certificate overview also describes a boarding certificate, available for up to a year after travel, through the reservation record and identity verification. That one-year period is not stated as the delay-certificate window. JapanLiveNow does not collect passport or reservation details. Ask the contact centre about a destination-change certificate.
Check the disruption option before cancelling yourself
ZIPAIR’s changes and cancellations policy separates customer-initiated cancellation from airline or adverse-weather disruption. Its disruption section describes eligible fare/ancillary refunds and a date change within 14 days before or after the original departure; the refund-request period is 90 days from the recorded affected travel date. Check the exact conditions and applicable law before choosing an option.
Do not assume that an optional new flight, hotel or transport bill is automatically reimbursed. Obtain written instructions, keep receipts, and ask the ticket seller if you booked through an agency. Canadian statutory rights are separate from the airline’s policy wording: review the APPR and the actual disruption category.
Baggage problems and language support
For damage, ZIPAIR’s official FAQ tells you to speak to its staff at baggage collection and directs further inquiries to the Baggage Loss, Damage, or Incorrect Pickup form. Report missing bags immediately too, and keep bag tags, the incident reference and damage photos. Separate legal reporting periods and compensation conditions were not fully reviewed; no payout or repair is promised here.
ZIPAIR’s help page lists English support 24 hours, and Japanese/Korean/Chinese/Thai support 10:00–19:00 Japan Standard Time. Staffed chat is separately listed as 10:00–19:00 Japan time; its 24-hour AI chat is not a promise of round-the-clock human chat. A Canada-specific phone number was not verified.

Show this in Japan to ask how to obtain a disruption certificate and check booking-change procedures. Keep itinerary changes and written reasons for your insurer; benefits depend on your own policy.
Before escalating to the CTA, write to the airline and allow 30 days for a response. Report a correction without personal travel documents.
