Frequently asked questions

How should I shorten Kenrokuen if my train leaves early on day two?

This itinerary visits the market on day one and Kenrokuen on day two. Assess bus travel, walks, garden time and the return to the station against your next train. If there is too little time for the round trip, omit the garden and spend time near the station. Hours are 07:00–18:00 through 15 October and 08:00–17:00 from 16 October, with last entry at 17:30 and 16:30 respectively. For a morning visit, check opening and buses for your date together.

Is a day pass better for three bus rides?

Three regular adult fares total JPY 660, below the JPY 800 day pass. Compare covered routes when taking four or more rides in a day. If taking two rides on each of two days, buying a day pass each day costs more.
