Stay overnight in Hiraizumi or continue to Miyako’s coast?

Choose three nights in Morioka and one in Hiraizumi for Kenji’s literature exhibits and two temples on separate days. For an exhibition about the temples’ historical setting followed by the beach, choose two nights in Morioka, one in Hiraizumi and one in Miyako. This route visits both temples on day three, then sees the Cultural Heritage Center’s terrain model, videos and excavated objects on the morning of day four before travelling to Miyako. Both days must be Runrun operating dates. The Kenji museum route includes JPY 340 for return local buses; the coastal route also includes JPY 400 for return Runrun buses on the centre day. Recheck the JR reference fares for your travel date, and choose the final day’s connections from the beach back to Morioka.
