How to get to Amanohashidate
From Kyoto Tango Railway Amanohashidate, walk about 5 minutes to the sandbar entrance. A whole crossing takes about 50 minutes one way, separate from station access. The 4-/5-day southern Monju routes walk only the southern section and return the same way.
Before you visit
Allow return time for a whole crossing
A whole crossing takes about 50 minutes one way. Leave return time if walking to the opposite end. For a boat return, check date-specific operations, fares and boarding separately.
Distinguish pedestrian and vessel construction notices
The September 2026 Daitenkyo notice restricts vessels below the bridge and states pedestrians are unaffected. Recheck date-specific construction/access notices officially and on site.
