Before returning to your hotel, use the operator's Kencho Kitaguchi boarding guidance to locate tomorrow's stop. Northbound boarding is in front of Palette Kumoji · パレットくもじ, 3 minutes on foot from Kencho-mae. Hotel-to-station access is extra. Naha returns arrive almost opposite.

See whale sharks and manta rays in the large tank today. Walking to the bus stops, waiting for buses and moving around the park are additional to the stated bus journey times.

Take northbound Yanbaru Express (YKB) from Kencho Kitaguchi in front of Palette Kumoji to Kinen Koen Mae at the Central Gate. One official example departs 08:40 and arrives 10:45: 2 hours 5 minutes aboard. With the 16:15 return below, park time is 5 hours 30 minutes. Confirm these services operate on your date before leaving. Official entrance guidance gives about 10 minutes on foot from the stop. Enter the Central Gate, turn right at Haisai Plaza and follow northward aquarium signs.

Cross the Central Gate footbridge and go to the Naha-bound YKB stop below the bridge leading to the charter-bus car park. The official return example leaves Kinen Koen Mae at 16:15 and reaches Kencho Kitaguchi at 18:32, a ride of 2 hours 17 minutes. Recheck services and stops for your date and allow waiting time. Traffic can delay arrival in Naha. Alight almost opposite the outbound stop in front of Palette Kumoji, walk to your hotel and eat in Naha. Adult fares are 1,900 yen one way or 3,800 yen return.

If omitting the north today, spend time at Kokusai Street/market. For museum alternatives, check opening, last admission and extra costs. Yanbaru Express does not accept seat reservations. Steps below explain full-bus alternatives and returns.

After the aquarium day, choose souvenirs on Kokusai Street or a market meal. For morning flights, move walks to day 1 and go to the airport. On this route, you walk back to your hotel before taking the airport train from Kencho-mae.

After immigration/baggage, use the floor 2 passage to Naha Airport Station. Take a Tedako-Uranishi-bound train to Omoromachi: 320 yen, 19 minutes. Walk 10–15 minutes to the museum's current front entrance. Large floor 1 lockers beside it need a 100-yen coin, returned after use. If luggage does not fit or lockers are full, ask general information about alternatives.

Day 2: hotel → Shurijo → Naha city → hotel
Walk Shureimon/grounds for Ryukyu history. For Seiden interior too, match opening and reservation slot to your date. Changing days for closures also requires other facility/transport adjustments.

Take Yui Rail towards Tedako-Uranishi from Kencho-mae to Shuri: 320 yen, 14 minutes. Use the south exit and official Shureimon walking route, generally about 15 minutes. On Seiden-reservation dates, leave 40–50 minutes between Shuri arrival and your slot.

Walk to Shuri and take an airport-bound train to Kencho-mae for 320 yen. Eat on Kokusai Street and return to your hotel.

Shorten outdoor viewing for strong wind/rain. For a museum replacement, check opening, last admission and Yui Rail first. Do not assume indoor facilities operate normally when typhoons stop transport. Omissions/replacements change fees and journeys.
Day 3: hotel → Fukushuen → city meal → hotel → airport
After museum/Shurijo nature/history visits, finish with Fukushuen and a city meal. Move gardens earlier or omit them for early flights. Kencho-mae–airport ride time is about 13 minutes, excluding hotel returns/procedures.

Frequently asked questions
Can I visit Churaumi without a hire car in 3 days?
Yes, if you devote the whole middle day to the trip. Take northbound YKB from Kencho Kitaguchi in front of Palette Kumoji to Kinen Koen Mae, then walk about 10 minutes to the aquarium. For the return, cross the footbridge from the Central Gate to the boarding stop below.
Choose both departures in the official timetable for your date. Seats cannot be reserved, and the next bus may also be full. If you miss the last service, ask about taxis to Naha, fares and motorway tolls at the Central Gate taxi rank. Taxis cost extra.

Can a Yui Rail day pass take me to the northern aquarium?
No. The adult 1,000-yen 24-hour pass covers Yui Rail only. Kinen Koen Mae buses and aquarium admission cost separately. Coverage checked 8 October 2026.
