Kami-no-Yu bath-only costs JPY 700 for ages 12 and over or JPY 350 for ages 2–11, with a 60-minute time limit. Kami-no-Yu bathing with second-floor seating and rest costs JPY 1,300 for adults or JPY 650 for ages 2–11. Tama-no-Yu second-floor seating costs JPY 2,000 for adults or JPY 1,000 for ages 2–11, including both baths, Tama-no-Yu second-floor rest and unguided Yushinden access. A separate guided Yushinden visit costs JPY 500 for adults or JPY 250 for ages 6–11. Check option-specific reservation rules for rest rooms or visits.

Kami-no-Yu bath-only runs from 06:00–23:00, with reception until 22:30 and a 60-minute time limit. It accepts no advance reservations. Second- and third-floor rest-room options run from 06:00–22:00. Reception for Kami-no-Yu and Tama-no-Yu second-floor seating ends at 21:00, while reception for Tama-no-Yu third-floor private rooms ends at 20:30. Yushinden visits run from 09:00–17:00, with reception until 16:30.

Rest-room time after bathing

Besides Kami-no-Yu bath-only, options combine bathing and rest-room use. Tama-no-Yu’s second-floor seating option includes both baths, second-floor rest and an unguided Yushinden visit. Prices, permitted time and reception rules vary by option.

How to get to Dogo Onsen Honkan

Take an Iyotetsu tram towards Dogo Onsen and alight at the terminus. Walk along Haikara-dori to Honkan. For meals before/after bathing, check the shops you plan to visit.

Before you visit

Honkan has no overnight accommodation

Honkan is a public bathhouse, not accommodation. Book separately nearby if spending a night in Dogo after bathing.

Walk Dogo’s shopping street after bathing

Haikara-dori lies between Dogo Onsen Station and Honkan. Check individual shop hours for walks/meals before or after your bath. Bathhouse hours differ from shop hours.

Must I book Kami-no-Yu bath-only ahead?

It cannot be booked ahead; register on site. Leave margin after bathing because queues may occur. Other rest-room options have different reception/reservation rules; consult Honkan’s official guide.
