At Dogo Onsen Honkan, bathe in a historic bathhouse designated as a cultural property. Choose a Kami-no-Yu bathing-only visit or a course with a relaxation room for time to relax afterward. You can also walk Haikara-dori's shops nearby.

Admission
Kami-no-Yu bathing-only costs ¥700 for ages 12 and older and ¥350 for ages 2–11, with a 60-minute visit. The Kami-no-Yu second-floor seating course includes bathing and second-floor rest for ¥1,300 for adults or ¥650 for ages 2–11. The Tama-no-Yu second-floor seating course costs ¥2,000 for adults or ¥1,000 for ages 2–11, including Kami-no-Yu and Tama-no-Yu bathing, rest on Tama-no-Yu's second floor, and self-guided Yushinden viewing. Separate guided Yushinden viewing costs ¥500 for adults or ¥250 for ages 6–11. Check each course's reservation conditions when adding access to relaxation rooms or viewing.
Opening hours
Kami-no-Yu bathing-only operates 6:00 a.m.–11:00 p.m., with reception ending at 10:30 p.m. Visits last 60 minutes; advance reservations are not accepted. Second- and third-floor courses with relaxation rooms operate 6:00 a.m.–10:00 p.m. Reception ends at 9:00 p.m. for Kami-no-Yu and Tama-no-Yu second-floor seating courses and at 8:30 p.m. for Tama-no-Yu third-floor private rooms. Yushinden viewing runs 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., with reception until 4:30 p.m.

Time to relax after bathing
Beyond Kami-no-Yu bathing-only, other courses combine bathing with access to relaxation rooms. The Tama-no-Yu second-floor seating course includes Kami-no-Yu and Tama-no-Yu bathing, second-floor rest, and self-guided Yushinden viewing. Each course has different prices, visit lengths, and reception conditions.
How to get to Dogo Onsen Honkan
Take an Iyotetsu streetcar bound for Dogo Onsen and get off at Dogo Onsen Station. Walk through Haikara-dori's shopping streets to Honkan. For meals before or after bathing, check the hours of shops you want to visit.

Visit tips
Honkan has no overnight accommodation
Honkan is a public bathhouse. To stay in Dogo after bathing, book a nearby hotel separately.
Walk Dogo's shopping streets after bathing
Haikara-dori runs between Dogo Onsen Station and Honkan. For a walk or meal before or after bathing, check individual shop hours. Bathhouse and shop hours are different.

Do I need a reservation for Kami-no-Yu bathing-only?
Advance reservations are not available for Kami-no-Yu bathing-only; register on site. Leave room in your schedule afterward because waits may occur. Other courses with access to relaxation rooms have different reception and reservation conditions; check Honkan's official guide.
