During the outdoor opening season, admission is JPY 420 for ages 16 and above, or JPY 300 for ages 7–15. Ages 6 and under enter free.
Opening hours and closed days
The outdoor garden opens from 09:00 to 16:30 between 29 April and 30 September, with admission until 16:00. From 1 October to 3 November, it opens from 09:00 to 16:00, with admission until 15:30. How to get to Hokkaido University Botanic Garden
Leave JR Sapporo Station through the south exit and walk to the garden’s main gate, about 10 minutes away. Use that gate during the outdoor opening season.

The outdoor garden is closed in winter
The outdoor garden closes from 4 November to 28 April. The retained facility information also lists the glasshouse as closed to visitors. Check whether it has reopened before considering it as a winter alternative.
