The Mozu burial mound visitor centre shows the mound's overall shape through aerial footage and exhibitions. Visit the free displays first if you want to understand a mound that is difficult to see fully from ground level. The centre is east of the external worship area at Emperor Nintoku's Mausoleum.

Admission
General admission is free. Meals, bicycle use, luggage storage and separate activities are not included in free admission.
Opening hours and closed days
The centre opens from 09:00 to 18:00 and closes on 29 December–3 January. Visiting hours for Emperor Nintoku’s external worship area differ from the centre’s opening hours.

Although the full shape is difficult to see beside the mound, the centre's aerial footage shows the burial mound group. Watch the footage and explore the displays before continuing to an external visit if you wish.
How to get to Mozu Kofun Group Visitor Center
Get off at JR Hanwa Line Mozu Station and walk 350 metres west. The visitor centre is east of the external worship area at Emperor Nintoku's Mausoleum. Distinguish this distance from the roughly ten-minute walk from Mozu Station to the mound.

The centre and mound have different visiting hours
If visiting Emperor Nintoku's Mausoleum after the exhibitions, check the Imperial Household Agency's hours and restrictions separately. The external worship area may be restricted even when the visitor centre is open.

Check the route from Mozu Station to the centre
The centre is 350 metres west of Mozu Station. Check its location so you do not head to another point around the mound. The roughly ten-minute walk to the external worship area has a different destination.

Does a visitor centre visit also let me enter the burial mound?
The centre offers footage and exhibitions; visitors cannot enter the mound. Visits to Emperor Nintoku’s Mausoleum take place at the external worship area. Check restrictions for your date separately.
