The mound exterior and worship area

You can pay respects at the worship area outside the mound. It is not an attraction where visitors walk inside, so do not arrive expecting entry to the burial mound.

How to get to Emperor Nintoku's Mausoleum

Take the JR Hanwa Line from Tennoji to Mozu, checking that your train stops there. Walk about ten minutes west from Mozu Station to the external worship area at Emperor Nintoku's Mausoleum.

Check regular visiting hours and restrictions for your date
