The official worship guide does not list an admission charge for the exterior worship area, so free admission still needs confirmation. Before visiting, check Imperial Household Agency guidance for worship hours and restrictions.
Opening hours
Regular worship hours at the exterior area are 8:30 AM–5:00 PM. In principle, visits are possible year-round, but access may be restricted on weekends, Japanese public holidays, and December 29–January 3. Events and management reasons may also restrict access; check your visit-date guidance.

View the tomb from the exterior worship area
You can pay your respects at the worship area outside the tomb. This is not a sightseeing site where you walk inside the tomb, so plan for an exterior visit.

The tomb's overall shape is difficult to see from ground level. Start with aerial footage and exhibitions at the Mozu Mounded Tombs Visitor Center to understand its layout.
How to get to Nintoku-tenno-ryo Kofun
Take the JR Hanwa Line from Tennoji to Mozu, checking that your train stops there. Walk about 10 minutes west from Mozu Station to the exterior worship area.

Check regular hours and visit-date restrictions together
Regular worship hours are 8:30 AM–5:00 PM, but weekends, Japanese public holidays, December 29–January 3, events, and management reasons may bring restrictions. Do not enter the worship area when access is controlled. If the visitor center is open, switch to its footage and exhibitions.
