Opening hours
Standard hours for worship outside the mound are 08:30–17:00. Worship is normally available year-round, but may be restricted on weekends, Japanese public holidays and 29 December–3 January, as well as for ceremonies or management. Check guidance for your date.

Worship at the outside area when access is available. This is not a sightseeing site where visitors walk inside the mound.

See the whole shape in visitor-centre footage
The whole mound is difficult to see from ground level. Begin with aerial footage and exhibitions at Mozu Mounded Tombs Visitor Center to understand its shape.
How to get to Emperor Nintoku’s burial mound
Take the JR Hanwa line from Tennoji and get off at Mozu, checking that your service stops there. Walk about ten minutes west from Mozu to the outside worship area.

Check standard worship hours and date-specific restrictions together
Standard worship hours are 08:30–17:00, but weekends, Japanese public holidays, 29 December–3 January, ceremonies and management may restrict access. Do not enter a closed worship area. If the centre is open, use its footage and exhibitions instead.
