Individual admission is JPY 300 for general admission or JPY 100 for primary and junior high school students. Those school students enter free on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. Discounts with a valid sightseeing loop bus day pass have separate conditions; five days A uses general admission for its costs.
Opening hours and closed days
Open 09:30–18:00 April–September and 09:30–17:00 October–March. The facility recommends entering at least 30 minutes before closing. Closed Mondays, or the next day when Monday is a public holiday. Also closed the day after public holidays, or Tuesday if that day falls on a Saturday or Sunday. Closed 28 December–3 January; check the official calendar for temporary closures too.

How to get to Former Saito family villa
From stand 18 at Niigata Station’s bus terminal, take the sightseeing loop bus to Hoppo Bunka Hakubutsukan Niigata Bunkan-mae. Walk about one minute from the stop to the villa. The sightseeing bus runs in one direction. After visiting, board the next bus at the same stop and return to Niigata Station. The adult single fare is JPY 260; two rides plus general admission total JPY 820. Check date-specific operation and diversion notices too.

Roof works on the main house are planned from early August to mid-November 2026 and cover part of the exterior. Rain may also restrict garden walks. Check facility and Niigata City notices for the areas open on your date.
