Five days in Niigata: how should you split your stay?

Stay four nights in Niigata to visit the shrine, aquarium, historic house and gardens from the same hotel. To see marine life and mine tunnels, split your stay into two nights each in Niigata and Ryotsu. Choose the villa day according to works and garden restrictions; on Sado, take the ferry to Niigata the day after visiting the mine.
