Admission
Standard admission costs JPY 2,000, or JPY 500 for primary, junior and senior school pupils under 18. Preschool children enter free. The ticket covers the main building, Craft Art and Asian Art Gallery, and Kojima Torajiro Memorial Hall. The annex is closed long term.
Opening hours and closed days
The main building opens from 09:00 to 17:00 in March–November, with entry until 16:30, and from 09:00 to 15:00 in December–February, with entry until 14:30. The Memorial Hall opens from 10:00 to 16:00 in March–November and from 10:00 to 15:00 in December–February. The museum normally closes on Mondays but opens on public and substitute holidays, and daily in August. Check the dated calendar for temporary closures.

How to get to Ohara Museum of Art
Leave Kurashiki’s south exit towards the quarter. The museum gives about 15 minutes to its main building at 1-1-15 Chuo, a different destination from the quarter entrance’s 10-minute walk. Add hotel-to-station walking separately.

The main building and Memorial Hall open and close at different times. Check both hours and the dated calendar, including the main building’s last entry, to visit both.
