Visit Kodokan and Kairakuen on day one and stay in Mito. Spend day two at Hitachi Seaside Park into the afternoon, then return to Mito for a Tokyo-bound limited express. This itinerary starts and ends at Tokyo Station.

    Go straight along the north deck, descend the stairs at its end and turn right by the ginkgo tree. Keep the Keisei Hotel on your left and climb Ichozaka; turn right beside Sannomaru Primary School. Enter between the fences on the left and register at the side gate to the right of the closed main gate. Follow the official photographic route.

    Take route 10’s Kairakuen-bound loop from Kodokan stop 1 to Kobuntei Omotemon Iriguchi. Adult one-way fare is JPY 270. Walk towards the main garden’s Omotemon after alighting.

    Follow Omotemon signs to the main-garden ticket office. Official walking guidance is about five to eight minutes. Distinguish Kobuntei’s building entrance from the main-garden entrance.

    If your hotel holds luggage, collect it within its available hours and return to Mito Station. Allow for local buses, trains and hotel travel when reserving a seat on a Shinagawa-bound Hitachi or Tokiwa service stopping at Tokyo. Board at Mito and get off at Tokyo.

Check park opening dates and buses stopping at West Gate. If the return bus is late, check the next Mito train at Katsuta and allow time for the Tokyo limited-express connection.

Can I fit flower fields, aquarium and falls into two days?

These routes visit Mito history first, then choose park or aquarium on day two. The falls need return Suigun trains and a 40-minute station walk. For all three, compare four-day B with separate visits on different days.
