  1. Nagasaki accommodation → Nagasaki Station terminal stand 2

  2. Nagasaki Station tram stop → Sasebo Bus Centre

Adult Sasebo express fare is 1,800 yen with cash or a ticket, or 1,550 yen when paid entirely with a transport IC card. Mixed payment does not qualify. No reservation is needed, but full buses cannot accept more passengers. The shortest ride is 85 minutes; add waits and traffic delays and check the listed 30–90-minute service intervals.

Distinguish Sasebo express and Nagasaki Airport buses. At Sasebo Bus Centre, collect bags and reach your hotel. Confirm actual boarding point, capacity, luggage conditions and hotel walks. Do not add the last cruise departure to this travel day.

Day 3: Kujukushima cruise, then Sasebo accommodation

Today is your second Sasebo night. Leave large bags in the room, cruise and return to the same hotel. Airport travel is tomorrow.

  1. Sasebo Station stand 6 → Pearl Sea Resort stop

Take a bus bound for Pearl Sea Resort and Kujukushima Aquarium. Adult single fare is 390 yen. Regular buses take about 25 minutes; express buses about 18. Choose a cruise departure that leaves time for tickets and pier access after the bus arrives.

  2. Resort bus stop → Cruise terminal ticket counter

From the stop beside shops by the first car park, follow the path along the shop fronts towards the sea and cruise terminal. Find the ticket counter in the building marked 遊覧船ターミナル・乗船券発券所 on the official map. Allow stop-to-terminal walking time separately from the roughly 50-minute cruise.

  7. Resort bus stand → Sasebo Station

Choose a Sasebo Station-bound bus in the resort departure timetable. Adult single fare is 390 yen. Express buses take about 18 minutes, excluding waits and traffic. The last express service is not necessarily the last bus across all regular routes.

    Bus access

Board the resort bus at Sasebo Station stand 6 and check the resort departure timetable on return. Do not assume immediate cruise boarding from estimated bus arrival: check services for your date and allow time for tickets and pier access. Without a cruise, return to your Sasebo hotel. You travel to the airport the following day.

Day 4: Sasebo accommodation → Nagasaki Airport

After one night in Nagasaki, the move to Sasebo and the cruise, travel directly from Sasebo to the airport on day four. Do not return to Nagasaki City for more sightseeing.

Frequently asked questions

Can I make the three-night Sasebo course a day trip?

Course B stays one night in Nagasaki and two in Sasebo. The express bus’s fastest 85 minutes covers a one-way ride only; local buses, tickets and boarding require extra time. To return the same day, choose the final Nagasaki connection first and check whether the cruise can finish before it.
