See historic Western-style houses and Nagasaki Harbour views at Glover Garden. Follow stone paths among buildings with Japanese tiled roofs to explore the former foreign settlement. Allow 1½–2 hours for gardens and buildings, including breaks on slopes and stone paths.
- AdmissionGeneral admission costs 1,300 yen, or 650 yen for primary-school, junior-high and high-school students. Rates changed in April 2026.
- HoursBasic hours are 08:00–18:00, with last admission 20 minutes before closing. Evening extensions and private bookings may change closing time; check your date in the official calendar.
- Getting thereFrom Shinchi Chinatown, take Ishibashi-bound route 5 to its terminus, walk about three minutes to Sky Road and use the lifts to Gate 2. Gate 2 does not accept cards; prepare another payment method.

Dejima
出島
Explore Dejima for Edo-period trade between Japan and the Netherlands. See reconstructed trading-post buildings and exhibits depicting life at the time. Allow 1½–2 hours and finish viewing inside before eating outside, as re-entry is unavailable.
- AdmissionGeneral admission costs 1,100 yen, or 550 yen for primary-school, junior-high and high-school students. Re-entry is unavailable.
- HoursDejima opens from 08:00–21:00, with last admission at 20:40. The main entrance bridge is available until 21:00 and the Water Gate until 18:00.
- Getting thereTake Sofukuji-bound route 1 from Nagasaki Station to Dejima, then walk about one minute to the entrance. Official access from Shinchi Chinatown stop is about four minutes. For a late visit, check main entrance bridge access rather than heading to the closed Water Gate.

Nagasaki Atomic Bomb Museum

Visit the museum for exhibits on atomic bombing and peace. Allow separate time for indoor exhibits and Peace Park walks. Leave 1½ hours for viewing. With children, first consider the exhibition content and breaks along the way.
- AdmissionGeneral admission costs 200 yen. From April 1, 2026, high-school students and younger enter free with student ID or equivalent proof at permanent-exhibition reception. The adjoining national peace memorial hall is free and separate.
- HoursSeptember–April hours are 08:30–17:30, with last admission at 17:00. May–August closes at 18:30, with last admission at 18:00. August 7–9 closes at 20:00, with last admission at 19:30. Closed December 29–31.
- Getting thereFrom Nagasaki Station, take Akasako-bound route 1 or 3 to Atomic Bomb Museum stop and walk about five minutes. Check the Nagasaki Station direction on return.
- Exhibits available to viewExhibition renewal closes part of section A September 10–October 10, 2026. Planned suspensions cover section C November 24, 2026–March 2027, part of B late December 2026–March 2027, and D January–March 2027. Exhibits outside construction remain open. Nagasaki Ropeway

Mount Inasa · 稲佐山 Allow separate dinner and viewing time for Mount Inasa’s night scenery. Cloudy weather changes visibility. With a reserved free loop bus, travel from your booked stop to Fuchi Shrine Station, take the ropeway to Inasadake Station and walk about three minutes to the deck. An adult return ropeway ticket costs 1,900 yen. Choose the return corresponding to your outward service on the official reservation screen. After viewing, allow ropeway descent, bus-stop access and waits. Without a reservation or during suspension, arrange alternative transport or move night views to another day.
- AdmissionGeneral fares are 1,900 yen return or 1,040 yen single. Rates apply from April 2026.
- HoursThe ropeway operates from 09:00–22:00, with the last uphill departure at 21:00. The ride takes about five minutes, excluding waits and deck walks. Strong winds and maintenance may suspend service.
- Getting thereAscend from Fuchi Shrine to Inasadake Station and walk about three minutes to the deck. For the free loop bus, first check official boarding points at hotels and the station and reservation availability. The free bus requires a reservation.

Kujukushima Pearl Queen cruise
Kujukushima Cruising Boat Pearl Queen九十九島遊覧船パールクィーン
Pearl Queen cruises among small islands for sea scenery, departing Sasebo’s Pearl Sea Resort. A normal sailing lasts about 50 minutes. Take another bus from Sasebo Station to the resort. Allow half a day including buses both ways, tickets and waits. Official bus estimates of about 25 minutes for regular services or 18 for express services exclude waits and pier access. Individuals buy same-day tickets at the counter for a specified sailing. Check the sailing, ticket deadline and return bus together; express and regular timetables differ.
- AdmissionFares are 2,200 yen for high-school students and older, or 1,100 yen for ages four through junior high. A normal cruise lasts about 50 minutes. Capacity is 280 passengers with 118 seats, so seating is not guaranteed for all.
- DeparturesSailings normally depart around 10:00, 11:00, 12:00, 13:00, 14:00 and 15:00, with seasonal suspensions and extra sailings. Individuals obtain a timed ticket at the same-day counter, distinct from group bookings of 15 or more. Strong winds or rain may cancel sailings.
- Getting thereFrom Sasebo Station stand 6, take a bus bound for Pearl Sea Resort and Kujukushima Aquarium. Regular services take about 25 minutes and express services about 18; adult single fare is 390 yen. Check return times when alighting.

Can I enter Glover Garden at night?
Basic hours are 08:00–18:00; evening extensions vary by date. Check the closing time for your date in the official calendar. Last admission is 20 minutes before closing.
Can I board the free Mount Inasa bus without reserving?
The free loop bus requires a same-day reservation. From JR Nagasaki Station, reach the east exit transport plaza and show your confirmation to the driver. Choose the matching return service; ropeway fares are separate.

Is Pearl Queen always cancelled in rain?
It may operate in light rain, but the captain can cancel in heavy rain or strong winds. Check the operator’s information that day.
Is the entire Atomic Bomb Museum closed for exhibition work?
The notice is not a full museum closure. Part of section A is unavailable September 10–October 10, 2026; exhibits outside construction remain open. Check official notices for later section schedules. General admission is 200 yen; high-school students and younger enter free with the required proof. The regular December 29–31 closure is separate.

Can I leave Dejima and re-enter with the same ticket?
No re-entry is available. Finish viewing inside before going out for food or another attraction. For evening visits, check last admission and exit opening times separately.
