Where should I stay: Nagasaki City or Sasebo?
Stay two nights in Nagasaki City for daytime sights and Mount Inasa’s night views. For a Kujukushima cruise, choose two nights in Sasebo. Cruise on day two, then travel directly from Sasebo to the airport on day three without sightseeing.

Return to JR Nagasaki Station on the bus corresponding to your reserved outward departure. Allow ropeway descent, boarding-point access and waits to arrive before bus departure.
In the morning, view the hypocentre monument and return through the same entrance to Peace Park tram stop. Take Sofukuji-bound route 1 or Hotarujaya-bound route 3 to Nagasaki Station. The official one-minute walk covers stop-to-hypocentre access; viewing, return walks and waits are separate. The 300-yen tram travel both ways is included, without adding 200-yen museum admission. Move night views to another day if reservation fails or services stop. During consecutive hotel nights, leave large bags in your room; check address-specific walks and extra transport separately.

Basic hours are 08:00–18:00, with last admission at 17:40. Check extensions and exceptions for your visit date in the official calendar.
- After the garden → Gate 2 exit
To return towards Ishibashi, head back to Gate 2, marked as both an entrance and an exit on the official map. This differs from following the viewing route down to the lower exit. Add the uphill return walk separately from viewing and the three-minute stop estimate. Check on-site entrance restrictions.
- Outside Gate 2 → Sky Road → Ishibashi tram stop
Descend by vertical lift, connecting path and inclined lift, then return to Ishibashi. Retrace the official access route used on arrival. Allow gate-to-stop walking and lift waits separately.

Included items: The subtotal includes 4,300 yen for Dejima, Glover Garden and the ropeway, 1,200 yen for eight cash tram rides and 2,800 yen for ordinary airport buses both ways.
Costs outside the subtotal: Accommodation, meals, flights, luggage storage, extra hotel-to-boarding-point travel, extra paid facilities and audio guides cost extra. The Peace Statue area and museum exhibits are excluded.
This subtotal uses ordinary cash fares. Eight tram rides comprise two on day one, two for Peace Park on day two and four including transfers on day three; the morning park tram travel of 300 yen is included. No 200-yen museum admission is added to the outdoor hypocentre visit. The reserved night-view loop bus is free; ropeway return 1,900 yen is included in facility costs. Choose two nights in Sasebo if a cruise among islands appeals more than city sightseeing. Take the Kujukushima cruise on day two and the airport bus on the final day.
Day 1: airport → Sasebo accommodation
Travel directly from the airport to your Sasebo hotel. If immigration finishes late, spend the rest of arrival day eating and resting.
- Airport arrivals, first floor → Sasebo-bound stand 2
After immigration and luggage collection, leave first-floor arrivals for the bus stands. Services towards Sasebo and Huis Ten Bosch use stand 2, separate from Nagasaki City stands 4 and 5. Check the bus destination.

- Nagasaki Airport stand 2 → Sasebo Bus Centre
Take the Sasebo bus to Sasebo Bus Centre. Adult single fare is 1,500 yen; no reservation is needed, but a full bus cannot take more passengers. For cash, take a numbered ticket on boarding and pay when alighting; tap supported IC cards on and off. Choose a service in the official timetable that leaves enough time after immigration. The last bus leaves on time even if flights are delayed; if missed, ask the airport information desk about available travel.

Collect all bags at the bus centre and go to your booked station-area hotel. Confirm its address and storage hours before travel; without storage, eat after check-in. Walking, shuttles or taxis from the bus centre to your hotel require extra time and may cost extra beyond the 1,500-yen fare. After a late arrival, eat and rest, then cruise tomorrow. If the bus is full, compare the next official service with your hotel’s check-in deadline. The last airport bus leaves on time even after flight delays. If you cannot board, ask the airport information desk about available transport and accommodation.
Day 2: Kujukushima cruise and return to Sasebo
Leave large bags in your Sasebo hotel room and take the cruise. Return to the same accommodation after disembarking; airport travel is tomorrow.
- Sasebo Station stand 6 → Pearl Sea Resort stop
Take a bus bound for Pearl Sea Resort and Kujukushima Aquarium. Adult single fare is 390 yen. Regular buses take about 25 minutes; express buses about 18. Choose a cruise departure that leaves time for tickets and pier access after the bus arrives.
- Resort bus stop → Cruise terminal ticket counter
From the stop beside shops by the first car park, follow the path along the shop fronts towards the sea and cruise terminal. Find the ticket counter in the building marked 遊覧船ターミナル・乗船券発券所 on the official map. Allow stop-to-terminal walking time separately from the roughly 50-minute cruise.

- Ticket counter → Confirm today’s sailings and ticket
Check sailings and remaining capacity at the counter and obtain a ticket for a departure time. Sales for all departures start around 09:00. Choose a departure allowing ticket purchase and pier access after the bus, and follow the counter’s boarding deadline. Individual seats are not guaranteed.
- Counter where you received your ticket → Assigned pier and boarding
Check your ticket’s departure time and reach the seaward pier outside the terminal. Several boat types operate at the resort; ask staff for the Pearl Queen boarding entrance matching your ticket and queue before the specified deadline. If cancelled or sold out, omit the cruise, eat at the resort or return to Sasebo.

- Resort after disembarking → Meal and return bus stand
After disembarking, eat or rest at the resort, then retrace the path along the shop fronts from the terminal to the bus stand beside shops by the first car park. Allow walking time before your Sasebo Station-bound bus. If delayed, choose the next service.

Board the resort bus at Sasebo Station stand 6 and check the resort departure timetable on return. Do not assume immediate cruise boarding from estimated bus arrival: check services for your date and allow time for tickets and pier access. Without a cruise, return to your Sasebo hotel. You travel to the airport the following day.
Day 3: Sasebo accommodation → Nagasaki Airport
After two Sasebo nights and yesterday’s cruise, leave for the airport. Add no sightseeing today; choose a bus matching flight procedures.
- Sasebo accommodation → Sasebo Bus Centre stand 1
Take bags to airport stand 1 at Sasebo Bus Centre. No reservation is required, but full buses cannot accept more passengers. Choose an early service with ample airport time. Allow hotel-to-stand travel separately; shuttles or taxis may cost extra beyond the airport fare.
