Included items: Dejima, Glover Garden and ropeway JPY 4,300 + eight cash tram fares JPY 1,200 + standard airport bus return fares JPY 2,800

Costs outside the subtotal: Accommodation, meals, flights, luggage storage, extra accommodation transfers, optional paid facilities and audio guides. The Peace Statue area and museum exhibitions are excluded from the itinerary.

This uses standard cash fares. Eight tram rides comprise two on day one, two for Peace Park on day two and four including transfers on day three. The morning JPY 300 park return fare is included; outdoor hypocentre sightseeing does not add JPY 200 museum admission. The reserved shuttle is free and the JPY 1,900 ropeway return fare is included. 3 days / 2 nights B

Stay in Sasebo and cruise on day two

Choose two nights in Sasebo if a cruise between islands appeals more than city sightseeing. Visit Kujukushima on day two and take the airport bus on your final day.

Day one: airport to Sasebo accommodation

Travel directly from the airport to your Sasebo base. For a late arrival, finish the day with a meal and rest.

  1. Airport Level 1 arrivals → Sasebo-bound bus stand 2

After immigration and baggage collection, leave Level 1 arrivals for the bus stands. Stand 2 serves Sasebo and Huis Ten Bosch. Distinguish it from Nagasaki city's stands 4 and 5, and check the destination.

  2. Nagasaki Airport stand 2 → Sasebo Bus Center

Take a Sasebo-bound bus to Sasebo Bus Center. Adult fare is JPY 1,500 one way. No reservation is required, but full buses may prevent boarding. For cash, take a numbered ticket when boarding and pay on exit; tap supported IC cards on and off. Choose a service you can catch after arrival in the official timetable. The last bus leaves on time even if flights are delayed; if you miss it, ask airport information about available transport.

Nagasaki Airport–Sasebo timetable, 1–24 October 2026Direct airport buses

Collect all luggage at the bus centre and head to your booked station-area accommodation. Confirm its address and storage hours beforehand; if storage is unavailable, check in before eating. Walking, transfers and taxis from the bus centre depend on the accommodation and are excluded from JPY 1,500. For a late arrival, eat and rest, leaving the cruise for tomorrow. If a bus is full, check the next service against your check-in deadline. The last airport bus leaves on time despite flight delays; if you miss it, consult airport transport information or the information desk about transport and accommodation.

Day two: Kujukushima cruise and return to Sasebo

Leave large luggage in your Sasebo room and go on the cruise. Return to the same base after disembarking; airport travel is tomorrow.

  1. Sasebo-Ekimae stand 6 → Pearl Sea Resort bus stop

Take a bus for Pearl Sea Resort and Kujukushima Aquarium. Adult fare is JPY 390 one way; travel takes about 25 minutes on the regular bus or 18 minutes on the express. Choose a cruise with time for ticketing and walking to the pier, rather than assuming immediate boarding after bus arrival.

    Bus access

  2. Resort bus stop → Cruise terminal ticket counter

Get off near the shops at car park 1 and follow the path in front of them towards the waterfront cruise terminal. Find the ticket counter in the building marked 「遊覧船ターミナル・乗船券発券所」 on the official map. The stop-to-terminal walk takes extra time beyond the 50-minute cruise.

  3. Ticket counter → Confirm today's departures and tickets

Check operating departures and availability at the counter, then get a ticket for a specific sailing. Tickets for all departures go on sale around 09:00. Choose a sailing with time for ticketing and the pier walk, following the counter's boarding deadline. An individual seat is not guaranteed.

  4. After collecting tickets → Assigned pier and boarding

Check your ticket's departure time and head to the waterfront pier outside the terminal. If the cruise is cancelled or unavailable, omit it and have a meal at the resort or return to Sasebo.

  6. Resort after disembarking → Meal and return bus stop

Have a meal or rest at the resort, then retrace the path in front of the shops from the terminal to the bus stop near car park 1. Allow enough walking time for your Sasebo-Ekimae return service. Adjust to the next running bus if delayed.

  7. Resort bus boarding point → Sasebo-Ekimae

Choose a Sasebo-Ekimae-bound bus in the resort departure timetable. Adult fare is JPY 390 one way; the express ride takes about 18 minutes, excluding waits and traffic delays. The last express service is not necessarily the last bus across all regular routes.

    Bus access

Depart from Sasebo-Ekimae stand 6 and use the resort departure timetable for your return. Check actual cruise operations, tickets and the pier walk rather than assuming immediate boarding on arrival. If you cannot cruise, return to your Sasebo base. Airport travel is on a different day.

Day three: Sasebo accommodation to Nagasaki Airport

After two nights in Sasebo and yesterday's cruise, head to the airport today. Do not add sightseeing; choose a bus that leaves enough time for airline check-in.

  1. Sasebo accommodation → Sasebo Bus Center stand 1

Take your luggage to airport-bound stand 1 at Sasebo Bus Center. No reservation is required, but full buses may prevent boarding. Choose an early service with check-in time to spare. Accommodation walks, transfers and taxi time and costs are separate from the airport bus fare.

Cruise on day two and depart from airport-bound stand 1 at Sasebo Bus Center on day three.
