No reservation is needed, but you cannot board if it is full. Add waiting and congestion to the shortest listed ride of 85 minutes; check the stated service intervals of 30–90 minutes.
Distinguish the airport bus from the Sasebo highway bus. At Sasebo Bus Center, collect luggage and go to your booked hotel. Check the actual boarding point, capacity, luggage rules, and walk to your hotel. Do not attach the final cruise departure to this transfer day.
Day 3: Kujukushima cruise and return to your Sasebo hotel
This is your second night in Sasebo. Leave large luggage in your room, visit the cruise, and return to the same hotel. Airport travel is tomorrow.
- Sasebo Station stop 6 → Pearl Sea Resort bus stop
Take a bus toward Pearl Sea Resort/Kujukushima Aquarium. The adult fare is ¥390 one way; the regular bus takes about 25 minutes and the express about 18 minutes. Choose a sailing that leaves time for ticketing and the walk to the pier rather than assuming you can board immediately after the bus.
- Resort bus stop → Cruise terminal ticket counter
From the bus stop by the shops at Parking Lot 1, follow the walkway in front of the shops toward the seaside cruise terminal. Find the ticket counter in the building marked 「遊覧船ターミナル・乗船券発券所」 on the official map. The walk from stop to terminal takes time beyond the approximately 50-minute cruise.

Check today's departures and availability at the counter, then get a ticket for a specified sailing. Tickets for all sailings go on sale around 9 a.m. Choose a departure with time for ticketing and the pier walk, rather than one leaving just after your bus arrives. Meet the boarding deadline given at the counter. An individual seat is not guaranteed.
- Ticket counter → Assigned pier and boarding
Check your departure time, then go to the seaside pier in front of the terminal. Several types of boat use the same resort, so ask staff which boarding point matches your Pearl Queen ticket and join the line before the stated deadline. - Resort after disembarking → Meal and return-bus stop
Have a meal or rest at the resort, then retrace the walkway in front of the shops from the terminal to the bus stop by the Parking Lot 1 shops. Allow walking time to reach your Sasebo Station-bound bus. If delayed, adjust to the next service.

- Resort bus stop → Sasebo Station
Choose a Sasebo Station-bound service in the resort-departure timetable. The adult one-way fare is ¥390; the express ride takes about 18 minutes, with waiting and traffic delays additional. The last bus in the express table is not necessarily the last service across all regular routes.
Leave from Sasebo Station stop 6 and check the resort-departure timetable for your return. Do not assume the bus's arrival lets you board immediately: check same-day operations, ticket purchase, and the pier walk. If you cannot cruise, return to your Sasebo hotel. You do not travel to the airport today.
Day 4: Sasebo hotel to Nagasaki Airport
After a first night in Nagasaki, moving to Sasebo, and taking the cruise, go directly from Sasebo to the airport on day four. Do not return to Nagasaki City for sightseeing.
- Sasebo hotel → Sasebo Bus Center stop 1
Collect your luggage and go to airport-bound stop 1 at Sasebo Bus Center. No reservation is needed, but you cannot board if it is full. Choose an early service with room for check-in. Walking, hotel shuttles, or taxis to the stop take time and cost beyond the airport-bus fare.

Hotel-to-stop travel and the route to the airline counter take time beyond the bus ride. Hotel access costs are outside the ¥1,500 adult one-way fare. Leave with a margin before check-in closes for full buses and traffic delays. If the connection becomes difficult, ask the bus operator and airline about available transport or boarding changes.

Frequently asked questions
Can I change the three-night Sasebo itinerary into a day trip?
Itinerary B stays one night in Nagasaki and two in Sasebo. The highway bus's shortest listed 85 minutes is a one-way ride; add local buses, ticketing, and boarding. For a same-day return, choose the last available transportation back to Nagasaki first, then check whether the cruise can finish beforehand.
Do the three-night itinerary figures include transportation?
Both figures cover facilities only. A's ¥4,500 includes Dejima, Glover Garden, the Atomic Bomb Museum, and round-trip ropeway. B's ¥3,300 includes Dejima and the cruise. Trams and airport buses are separate; B also excludes the intercity highway bus and Pearl Sea Resort buses.
