Visit Tamamo Park for a walk around castle ruins near Takamatsu Port. You can explore former Takamatsu Castle’s grounds and the moat fed by seawater.
Visitor information
Admission
General admission is ¥300 per person per day. Visitors under 18 and students enrolled in elementary, junior high, high school, and other eligible schools can enter free under the official conditions.
Opening hours
The West and East Gates have different opening hours. In October, the West Gate opens 6:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m. and the East Gate opens 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m. In April–May and September, the West Gate opens 5:30 a.m.–6:30 p.m. and the East Gate opens 7:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. In June–August, the West Gate opens 5:30 a.m.–7:00 p.m. and the East Gate opens 7:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. Check the official monthly guide for other months. The park closes December 29–31.

A moat fed by seawater
Former Takamatsu Castle drew seawater into its moat. Walk through the park to see the castle grounds and moat. With the station and Takamatsu Port nearby, you can fit a visit around your boat or train journey.

How to get to Tamamo Park · 玉藻公園
The park is about 3 minutes on foot from JR Takamatsu Station. If traveling by Kotoden, get off at Takamatsu-Chikko Station; the park is beside it. Remember your entrance gate to find your way back to the station or harbor.
