Admission
General access to the facility is free. Paid exhibitions, hall use, parking, and transportation have separate charges.
Opening hours
Yashimāru usually opens 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. On Fridays, Saturdays, and days before public holidays, it stays open until 9:00 p.m. It closes Tuesdays, or the next weekday if Tuesday is a public holiday.

Views from the summit
From Mount Yashima, look across the Seto Inland Sea and toward Takamatsu. Taking in both sea and city views is part of the appeal of visiting Yashimāru.

How to get to Yashimāru · やしまーる
Take the Yashima Sanjo shuttle from JR Yashima Station or Kotoden Yashima Station. After getting off at Yashima Sanjo, find Yashimāru (number 11) on the official summit map, which also shows the tourist parking lot and Yashimaji Temple, then follow the signs on foot. The facility leaflet also shows the main entrance. The official walking estimate of about 10 minutes starts at Yashima Sanjo Kanko parking lot. Allow additional time to find your way after leaving the bus. Adult one-way shuttle fares are ¥340 from JR Yashima Station and ¥300 from Kotoden Yashima Station. Choose both the uphill and downhill services from the official timetable for your visit date. The direct bus from Takamatsu Station stop 7 costs ¥700 one way for adults. Even when the facility opens into the evening, buses do not necessarily run late. Choose your shuttle down before deciding how long to stay.
