The Kurashiki Museum of Folkcraft displays everyday objects, including pottery and textiles, in a converted rice warehouse. Stop in during a walk through the historical quarter if you are curious about the forms and craftsmanship of objects used in daily life.

Visitor information
Admission
General admission is ¥1,200; high school and college students pay ¥500, and elementary and junior high school students pay ¥300. Fees may change with the exhibition. Groups of 20 or more need an advance reservation.
Opening hours
The museum is open 10:00 AM–5:00 PM, with reception until 4:30 PM. It closes Mondays, or the following day when Monday is a public holiday. It is open during Golden Week and Obon and closes December 29–January 1. Exhibition changes or official warnings may cause temporary closures.

How to get to Kurashiki Museum of Folkcraft · 倉敷民藝館
Leave Kurashiki Station through the south exit and walk about 15 minutes toward the historical quarter. The museum is at 1-4-11 Chuo, Kurashiki. Use the museum's official neighborhood map to find your way through the streets. After your visit, walk back to Kurashiki Station.
