Admission

Admission costs JPY 1,200 for adults, JPY 500 for senior high school and university students or JPY 300 for primary and junior pupils. Admission can vary by exhibition. Groups of 20 or more need advance reservations.

Opening hours and closed days

The museum opens from 10:00 to 17:00, with reception until 16:30. It closes on Mondays, or the next day after a public-holiday Monday. It opens during Golden Week and Obon and closes from 29 December to 1 January. Exhibition changes and issued warnings can cause temporary closures.

How to get to Kurashiki Museum of Folkcraft

Leave Kurashiki’s south side and walk about 15 minutes towards the quarter. Folkcraft is at 1-4-11 Chuo, Kurashiki. Use its official area map for the lanes, then walk back to the station after visiting.
