The castle ruins and Sendai Castle Kenbunkan are free to visit. The Honmaru parking lot, museum, and restaurants are separate facilities; check the price for each one you plan to use.

Opening hours

The castle ruins are accessible 24 hours a day. Sendai Castle Kenbunkan opens daily from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Other museums and parking facilities have their own hours.

How to get to Sendai Castle Ruins · Site of Sendai Castle · 仙台城跡

Take Loople Sendai from bus stop 16 outside the west exit of Sendai Station. Get off at stop 6, Sendai Castle Ruins, and climb the stairs to the Date Masamune equestrian statue and viewpoint in the Honmaru. Allow time for the walk after the bus ride as well as your visit. The bus continues around the same one-way loop on your return.
