Admission
Adult admission: Sanbutsudo ¥400, Taiyuin ¥550, or both ¥900. The Treasure Hall and Shoyoen Garden cost extra.
Opening hours
Rinnoji is open 8 a.m.–5 p.m. April–October; 8 a.m.–4 p.m. November–March. Regular admission ends 30 minutes before closing. Sanbutsudo–Taiyuin combined-ticket sales end earlier: 2:30 p.m. April–October and 1:30 p.m. November–March.

How to get to Nikkozan Rinnoji Temple · 日光山輪王寺
Take a Tobu bus from the Nikko station area to Nishisando Iriguchi (9). Follow Nishisando and Omotesando directions to Sanbutsudo. To add Taiyuin, use the official temple map to reach its separate entrance.

Visit tips
Dates with no access to Sanbutsudo
Sanbutsudo is closed to visitors all day February 3 and April 2, from 11 a.m. April 1, and during the morning December 14. Check official event notices if your date overlaps.
Restrictions inside Taiyuin’s worship hall
Events restrict entry inside Taiyuin’s worship hall at certain times April 18–20, May 17, and July 14–15. These are not whole-temple closures. Check separate notices for the Treasure Hall and Shoyoen Garden’s regular closures.

Can I visit just Sanbutsudo?
Yes. A Sanbutsudo-only ticket is available. Choose the combined ticket to add Taiyuin. Combined-ticket sales close earlier than regular admission.
