Collection admission: adults ¥400; university students ¥260; high school students and younger free. Groups of 20 or more pay ¥320 per adult and ¥200 per university student. Special exhibition fees vary. If you also visit the collection on the same day, its admission is half price.

October–February: Shimane Art Museum is open 10 a.m.–6:30 p.m., with gallery admission until 6 p.m. March–September: it is open 10 a.m. until 30 minutes after sunset, with gallery admission until sunset.

Closed Tuesdays and December 28–January 1. If Tuesday is a public holiday, it opens and closes the next day instead. Special exhibition schedules can change closures.
