Which Aizu attractions should I choose?
Visit Tsurugajo for red roof tiles and Aizu history exhibits, or Oyakuen for a pond walk and medicinal plants. The reconstructed Aizu Bukeyashiki shows former samurai living spaces. Give Ouchi-juku or Kitakata a separate day for the round trip if you want a thatched-house village walk or ramen meal.

Frequently asked questions
Are castle and samurai residence visits entirely indoors on rainy days?
You can focus on the keep and residence exhibits, but the keep has stairs and moving between residence exhibits involves outdoor sections. Garden and castle-area walks are not connected entirely indoors either. In snow or heavy rain, reduce outdoor viewing and check your return transportation first.
