Haneda HND → Tokyo accommodation
Haneda Airport to Tokyo: trains, buses and late arrivals
If you are staying near Shinagawa Station, you can use the Keikyu Railway, and if you are staying near Hamamatsucho Station, you can use the Tokyo Monorail. For Shinjuku and Shibuya, transfer to JR at Shinagawa Station or take the airport bus that stops close to your accommodation. If you arrive late at night, you need to check which transportation you can actually take, considering the time required for immigration and baggage claim.

Official transport information checked: · Time is Japan time · Fee is in yen one way for adults.
Start with your arrival terminal
Haneda International Flights use both Terminal 2 and Terminal 3. Don't base your decision solely on the airline name; check the flight number on the reservation screen and the terminal in the airport's same-day arrival information.
International arrival at Terminal 3
- Complete immigration and baggage pickup at the arrival hall on the 2nd floor.
- For Keikyu bound for Shinagawa, go to the city centre/Yokohama bound ticket gate on the 2nd floor. Separate it from the other Keikyu gate on basement level 2 and go down to the platform.
- For the monorail, use the monorail ticket gate on the 2nd floor of the same arrival floor. There is also a ticket gate on the 3rd floor departure level, but it is a different station from Keikyu.
- After checking and purchasing the bus ticket on the 2nd floor, follow the bus signs and go down to the third lane outside the 1st floor.
International arrival at Terminal 2
- Claim your baggage at the international arrivals hall on the 2nd floor. Separate it from the domestic departure hall on the same floor.
- Follow the ‘Railways / 鉄道’ sign and move to the first basement level.
- Keikyu uses Haneda Airport Terminal 1・2 Station · 羽田空港第1・第2ターミナル駅. The monorail uses Haneda Airport Terminal 2 Station · 羽田空港第2ターミナル駅. They have separate ticket gates.
- The bus goes to the bus stop on the 1st floor. The underground railway floor and the bus riding floor are different.
If you arrived at Terminal 1 by domestic flight: From the arrival hall on the 1st floor, the train goes to the basement level and the bus goes to the outside of the 1st floor. Keikyu is a common station for Terminals 1 and 2, and Monorail Terminal 1 station is separate.
If your suitcase is large, look for the elevator sign first. The free shuttle between terminals does not run overnight. Not everyone can receive a free rail transfer ticket when going city centre after arriving on an international flight. The free ticket is subject to conditions for passengers transferring between flights. Check travel/shuttle times between terminals ↗ Check travel/shuttle times between terminals ↗

This is a one-way ticket purchased on the same day at the airport station during designated Saturdays, Sundays, public holidays and special sales periods, and travel to the target JR station via Hamamatsucho. It is not for foreigners only and you cannot leave the ticket gate in between. The sales period in the current information is from March 14, 2026 to March 31, 2027, and October 1 to 7, 2026 is also included in the special sales period. Shinjuku Station → Busta Shinjuku official walking map and exit information ↗Late-night arrival at Haneda Airport: Can I catch the last departure?
You should not decide that you can catch the last departure just by looking at the landing time. After completing immigration and baggage pickup, check the arrival time at the airport station and the last JR train from the transfer station to your final destination. Below is the airport station departure time compared to the timetable for weekdays and Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays.
Terminal 3 · Keikyu → Shinagawa

Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays: First train 05:03 / Last departure 00:05
The first Keikyu train from Terminal 3 is 05:26 → Shinagawa 05:46, and the last departure to Shinagawa is 00:08 → 00:20. The Keikyu Kamata train departing at 00:13 on weekdays should not be considered the last departure to Shinagawa.
The final train arriving at Tokyo Station, Ginza, Shinjuku, and Shibuya is different from the table above. Even if you catch the last departure to the airport, your JR transfer may be cut off. Select your travel date, weekdays/holidays, and arrival terminal to search for your final destination and compare with the JR timetable for Shinagawa and Hamamatsucho. Be especially careful when going from Shinagawa to Shinjuku and Shibuya
According to the JR October 2026 Yamanote Line timetable for weekdays and weekends and holidays, the last service on the outer line from Shinagawa to Shibuya and Shinjuku departs at 00:20. Afterwards, trains departing from Shinagawa must have a final destination in Osaki.
The last Keikyu train from Terminal 3 also arrives at Shinagawa at 00:20, so we do not advise that you can take these two connections consecutively. Select the Keikyu train ahead of you and secure the travel time to the ticket gate and platform.
For the Yamanote Line extension toward Tokyo and Yurakucho, the 00:32 departure from Hamamatsucho is indicated in the weekday, Saturday and holiday timetable. This is the departure time of the JR transfer station and not the last departure time to the airport. JR also has other routes, so check the full route with your final hotels and day-of operation conditions.

Look at Shinjuku late-night buses and Shibuya regular buses differently.
As of October 4, 2026, the Shinjuku late-night service costs 2,800 yen for adults. Departures from Terminal 3 at 00:20, 01:00, 01:40, and 02:20 are displayed. The 00:20 departure also departs from Terminal 2 at 00:05 and Terminal 1 at 00:10, but the 01:00, 01:40, and 02:20 departures depart from Terminal 3. After 01:00, the three terminal 3 boarding points are indicated as number 3 on the official map. For the 00:20 departure, check the boarding location on the ticketing screen and day-of information.
The last regular bus in Shibuya is Terminal 3 at 22:35 / Terminal 2 at 22:45 / Terminal 1 at 22:50, and the Shibuya late-night route is marked as suspended in the Keikyu Bus official list. The late-night bus to Shinjuku does not take you to Shibuya.
The calendar date changes after midnight, so please select the actual boarding date.

If you are finished with trains and buses, compare official taxis or airport hotels
For regular taxis in Terminal 3, follow the directions from the arrival hall on the 2nd floor and go to taxi stand 21 in the second lane on Level 1. The general boarding area for Terminals 1 and 2 is on the 1st floor. App/reservation vehicles are located at different locations.
Terminal 1 is near exit 7 on the 2nd floor, Terminal 2 is near exit 2 on the 2nd floor, and for reserved taxis in Terminal 3, check the information on the 8th floor of the P5 car park.
Flat-rate taxi: Shinjuku-ku, Shibuya-ku, Chiyoda-ku
Based on the fare table effective on April 20, 2026, Shinjuku Ward is 9,000 yen / late night 10,700 yen, Shibuya Ward 8,500 yen / late night 10,000 yen, Chiyoda Ward 7,600 yen / late night 9,000 yen. This is per vehicle, and highway tolls and parking fees are separate.
Before boarding, check whether the company participating in the association is the target address. You can use the airport's official taxi stand without prior reservation, but other places' fixed-rate taxi services require reservations at least 1 hour in advance.
If the entire section from boarding to disembarkation is between 22:00 and 05:00, a late-night flat fare is applied. Destination changes/major detours may result in meter fares.
Reservation/late night/toll conditions ↗Choosing to rest at a nearby area or airport
Please do not assume that Shinagawa, Hamamatsucho, and Ginza are the target areas for the above flat rate table. Chuo Ward, where Ginza is located, is also different from the rates for the three areas above. Show your actual accommodation address and ask for the metered fare or flat rate terms that apply.
Hotels connected to the airport or nearby hotels are also alternatives. Check the end time of the inter-terminal shuttle, how to get out of the airport, available rooms on the day, and whether late check-in is possible before making a reservation. Availability and prices are not guaranteed. Please also inform the property of your expected arrival time.

If you have a lot of luggage or are travelling alone late at night
If you check whether the bus actually stops near your accommodation, you can reduce the number of times you transfer with your luggage. For subways, find a route with an elevator and save the transfer station, exit, and accommodation address on your phone. Use official pick-up points and information counters late at night, and check your licence plate number and reservation information.
When leaving your luggage in the trunk of the bus, take out the power bank and take it with you in the car. Carry your passport, cell phone, and valuables with you, and check your luggage before getting off. For restrictions on the number and size of luggage, please follow the reservation product and operator instructions.
Official tickets and reservations
Select Haneda Airport as your departure point, the actual terminal, destination stop and boarding date. Midnight departures use the next calendar date. A daytime limousine voucher does not automatically cover a late-night bus. Ordinary Keikyu and monorail tickets are separate from bus reservations.
These are official operator links, not affiliate links. Fares in this guide and online offers may have different conditions. Confirm direction, date, exchange, reservation and refund rules before paying.
Haneda to Tokyo transfer questions
Where do international flights arrive at Terminal 2 or Terminal 3?
Haneda International Terminals use both Terminals 2 and 3. Even if it is the same airline, you must check the terminal according to the flight number and date. Compare airline reservation screens with airport same-day arrival information. The international arrivals hall in both terminals is on the second floor, but the railway station in Terminal 2 is on the first basement level, and the Keikyu ticket gate to city centre and the monorail arrivals floor ticket gate in Terminal 3 are on the second floor.
Which route is more convenient to the accommodation: Keikyu or Monorail?
If you are staying in Shinagawa, compare Keikyu first, and if you are staying in Hamamatsucho, compare Monorail first. Tokyo Station accepts JR transfers for both routes. For Shibuya and Shinjuku, you can compare the route by transferring from Shinagawa to the JR Yamanote Line. If your accommodation is close to a bus stop and you have a lot of luggage, check out the limousine bus to your destination.
If I arrive late at night, can I go to Shinjuku or Shibuya?
Check based on the time you entered the country and received your baggage. The last departure of the Airport Railway and the last departure of the JR transfer are different. The Shinjuku-bound timetable viewed on October 4, 2026 includes late-night buses departing Terminal 3 at 00:20, 01:00, 01:40, and 02:20, and costs 2,800 yen one way for adults. The Shibuya late-night bus is marked as suspended on the official Keikyu Bus list. Check the operation and available seats for your travel dates, and compare official taxis or airport hotels if transportation is not available.
What do I do if my flight is delayed and I miss the bus I reserved?
Check the change and cancellation deadline in your booking. The official limousine-bus booking service requires changes before its stated cut-off; third-party vouchers may have different activation and cancellation rules. Contact the operator or seller before departure. A delayed flight does not automatically secure a seat on the next bus or entitle you to a refund.
Are Haneda and Narita the same airport?
These are different airports. Haneda Airport is HND, Narita Airport is NRT. Arrival terminals, railways, and bus stops are also different. Don't assume that the Narita-only ticket can be used to travel to Haneda; check the departure airport and direction on the purchase screen.
Can anyone use the 590 yen discount coupon for riding both the monorail and JR?
Monorail/Yamanote Line discount coupons are not for foreigners only. This is a one-way ticket that can be purchased on the same day at the airport station on designated Saturdays, Sundays, public holidays, and during special sales periods, and travel to the target station on the JR Yamanote Line via Hamamatsucho. You cannot come out of the ticket gate midway, and you cannot purchase tickets for another day in advance. October 1-7, 2026 is included in the special sales period. Check the official information for sales conditions on travel days.
