Admission

Adult bathing costs JPY 650 on eligible weekdays and JPY 800 otherwise. Busy dates including New Year, Golden Week and Obon are excluded from weekday pricing. Primary and junior high students pay JPY 350 on standard days, and preschool children enter free. A two-facility ticket for Kin no Yu and Gin no Yu costs JPY 1,200. The adjacent footbath is free.

Opening hours

The bath opens from 08:00 to 22:00, with reception until 21:30. It closes on the second and fourth Tuesday each month; if that Tuesday is a public holiday, it opens that day and closes the next. It also closes on 1 January.

How to get to Kin no Yu in Arima

From Kobe, take the subway to Tanigami. Change to Kobe Electric Railway for Arimaguchi, then change again to an Arima Onsen train. The facility’s April 2023 guidance gives roughly five minutes’ walk from railway Arima Onsen to Kin no Yu. Distinguish it from the ropeway station and use the railway station as your starting point. Check services and transfer routes for your date.

Weekday-price exclusions and closure days

New Year, Golden Week, Obon and other busy periods may not use weekday pricing. It closes on the second and fourth Tuesday each month, or the following day if that Tuesday is a public holiday, and on 1 January. Check date-specific facility guidance first when travelling to bathe.

Allow the return to the railway station

From Kobe, change at Tanigami and Arimaguchi to reach Arima Onsen. After bathing and eating, allow the walk back and transfer times. Railway Arima Onsen and the ropeway station are different locations.

Can I use Kin no Yu without staying in Arima?

You can bathe without hot-spring accommodation. Full public-bath admission is paid; the adjacent footbath is free. Ryokan accommodation and meals are separate.
