Admission

Adult bathing costs ¥650 on qualifying weekdays or ¥800 otherwise. Busy dates including New Year, Golden Week, and Obon are excluded from weekday pricing. Elementary and junior high school students pay ¥350 on regular dates; preschool children enter free. A two-bath ticket for Kin no Yu and Gin no Yu costs ¥1,200. The footbath beside Kin no Yu is free.

Opening hours

The bath opens 8:00 AM–10:00 PM, with reception until 9:30 PM. It closes on the second and fourth Tuesdays each month; if Tuesday is a public holiday, it opens that day and closes the next. It also closes January 1.

How to get to Kin no Yu

Take the subway from central Kobe to Tanigami. Transfer to Kobe Electric Railway and get off at Arimaguchi, then transfer again to an Arima-Onsen-bound train. The facility's April 2023 guide gives roughly five minutes on foot from Arima-Onsen railway station to Kin no Yu. The ropeway station is different, so use the railway station as your starting point. Check travel-date services and transfer routes.

Weekday-price exclusions and closure days

Busy periods such as New Year, Golden Week, and Obon may not qualify for weekday pricing. The bath closes on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month, or the following day if Tuesday is a public holiday, and on January 1. For a bathing trip, check the facility's visit-date information first.

Allow time to return to the railway station

From central Kobe, transfer at Tanigami and Arimaguchi to reach Arima-Onsen. After bathing and eating, allow the station walk and transfers. The railway's Arima-Onsen Station differs from the ropeway station.

Can I use Kin no Yu without staying in Arima?

Yes. Full bathing at the public bath requires admission; the footbath beside it is free. Ryokan lodging and meals are separate.
