Admission
Adult bathing costs JPY 650 on weekdays or JPY 800 otherwise. Busy New Year, Golden Week and Obon dates are excluded from weekday pricing. Primary and junior high school pupils pay JPY 350 on ordinary dates; preschool children enter free. A combined ticket for Kin no Yu and Gin no Yu costs JPY 1,200. The footbath beside Kin no Yu is free.
Opening hours and closed days
The bath opens from 08:00 to 22:00, with bath admission until 21:30. It closes on the second and fourth Tuesdays monthly; if Tuesday is a Japanese public holiday, it opens and closes the following day instead. It also closes on 1 January.

Brown kinsen bathing without an overnight stay
Soak in Arima's brown kinsen water at Kin no Yu. A day trip lets you bathe at the public bath before returning, making it an option for hot springs without an overnight stay.

How to get to Arima Kin no Yu
From Kobe city, take the subway to Tanigami. Change to Kobe Electric Railway for Arimaguchi, then change again for Arima Onsen. The facility's April 2023 guide gives about five minutes on foot from Arima Onsen electric railway station to Kin no Yu. This is different from the ropeway station, so plan from the electric railway station. Check dated services and transfer routes.

Before you visit
Weekday price exclusions and closures
Weekday pricing may not apply during busy New Year, Golden Week or Obon periods. The bath closes on the second and fourth Tuesdays monthly, or the following day if Tuesday is a Japanese public holiday. It also closes on 1 January. Check date-specific facility information first if bathing is your main reason to visit.
Allow the return to the electric railway station
From Kobe city, change at Tanigami and Arimaguchi for Arima Onsen. Allow station walking and transfer time after bathing and eating. The electric railway's Arima Onsen station and the ropeway station are different places.

Can I use Kin no Yu without staying in Arima?
Yes. Full bathing at the public bath requires admission; the adjoining footbath is free. Ryokan accommodation and meals are separate.
