Admission

General admission costs JPY 2,500 for visitors aged 18 and over. The JPY 1,000 Himeji resident price does not apply to visiting travellers. Under-18s are free, including until 31 March following the year they turn 18. An adult combined ticket for Himeji Castle and Koko-en costs JPY 2,600.

How to get to Himeji Castle

Take a JR Special Rapid towards Himeji, Aboshi or Banshu-Ako from Sannomiya and get off at Himeji. Riding takes roughly 40 minutes, followed by roughly 20 minutes on foot to the castle. Station walking and waiting are extra. Tower viewing includes stairs and slopes, with no lift.
