How to get to Udo Jingu

Take an Obi-bound bus from Miyazaki Station and get off at Udo-Jingu. Official tourism guidance lists about 90 minutes on the bus, then about 10 minutes on foot under normal conditions. Access restrictions may change that route and walking guidance, so check the latest diverted walk in official notices. Confirm the return bus and segment fare. Reaching the main sanctuary requires stairs down into the cave.

Parking-access restriction notice dated 7 September 2026

The operator's 7 September 2026 notice directs visitors to the tourist car park because the access road to car parks 1 and 2 is closed. About 20 minutes from the tourist car park to the main sanctuary is a one-way walk; worship and returning take additional time. The notice gives no reopening date, so check follow-up guidance for your travel date.
