Admission
Individual admission costs JPY 2,400 for adults, JPY 1,800 for visitors aged 65+, JPY 1,700 for junior and senior high-school students and JPY 1,200 for primary students. Preschool children aged four or older pay JPY 700; children under four enter free.
Opening hours
From 28 September to 3 November, the aquarium opens from 09:00 to 17:30, with last admission at 17:00. From 4 November to 19 March, it opens from 10:00 to 17:00, with last admission at 16:30. For other periods or changed hours, check the official operating guide for your date.

Same-day re-entry is allowed. Ask exit staff to arrange re-entry before leaving, then return within that day’s operating hours.
How to get to Sendai Uminomori Aquarium
Take the JR Senseki Line from Sendai for about 18 minutes to Nakano-Sakae. Use the South Exit and walk about 15 minutes to the aquarium. Alternatively, the Miyako Kotsu bus costs JPY 200 per adult each way. It is not a free shuttle. Allow additional train and bus waiting time.
