Admission
Individual admission costs JPY 2,400 for adults, JPY 1,800 for visitors aged 65 and over, JPY 1,700 for junior high and high school pupils, JPY 1,200 for primary school pupils and JPY 700 for preschool children aged four and over. Children under four enter free.
Opening hours and closed days
The aquarium opens from 09:00 to 17:30 on 28 September–3 November, with last entry at 17:00. On 4 November–19 March, it opens from 10:00 to 17:00, with last entry at 16:30. Check official guidance for your date if visiting in other periods or hours change.

How to get to Sendai Uminomori Aquarium
Take the JR Senseki Line from Sendai to Nakanosakae, about 18 minutes. Walk about 15 minutes from the south exit to the aquarium. Miyako Kotsu buses also connect the station and aquarium at JPY 200 per adult one-way. This is not a free shuttle; allow train and bus waits separately.
