You could visit the museum permanent exhibition in the morning, pause for lunch and a rest, then see the art museum collection exhibition. You can also choose just the exhibition that interests you.

For the exhibitions from 25 September to 28 November 2026, adult admission is 530 yen for the museum permanent exhibition and 400 yen for the art museum collection exhibition. A same-day 1DAY pass for both is 750 yen; preschool children enter free. It does not include every special exhibition. Recheck exhibitions and prices if visiting after this period.
Opening hours
Hours are 09:00–18:00 on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday, with last admission at 17:30. Friday and Saturday hours are 09:00–20:00, with last admission at 19:30. It closes on Mondays, except public holidays, substitute holidays and Okinawa Memorial Day, when it opens and closes on the next weekday instead. It also closes from 29 December 2026 to 3 January 2027.

How to get to Okinawa Prefectural Museum and Art Museum
The walk from Omoromachi Station usually takes about 10 minutes, or about 15 at a slower pace. Under the notice dated 8 September 2026, the side entrance and rear gate are closed until further notice. Use the front entrance.

Use the front entrance
Under the notice dated 8 September 2026, the side entrance and rear gate are closed until further notice. Allow about 10–15 minutes to walk from Omoromachi Station to the front entrance. Check for changes to the closure notice before visiting.
