Admission
For exhibitions visited from 25 September–28 November 2026, general adult admission costs JPY 530 for the permanent museum exhibition and JPY 400 for the art collection. A same-day 1DAY pass costs JPY 750. Preschool children enter free. The pass excludes some special exhibitions. Recheck exhibitions/prices after the period ends.
Opening hours
Opening hours are 09:00–18:00 on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday, with last admission at 17:30. On Friday and Saturday, they are 09:00–20:00, with last admission at 19:30. Monday closure moves to next weekday for a public holiday, substitute holiday or Okinawa Memorial Day. It also closes from 29 December 2026–3 January 2027.

How to get to Okinawa Prefectural Museum & Art Museum
Walk roughly ten minutes from Omoromachi, or 15 at a slower pace. Following the 8 September 2026 notice, the side entrance/rear gate remain closed for the time being; use the front entrance.

Tickets for both exhibitions
Guidance for 25 September–28 November, checked 9 October 2026, includes a 1DAY pass for museum permanent/art collection displays on the same day. It excludes some special exhibitions; check the names you want before choosing tickets. Recheck exhibitions/prices after the period ends.
Use the front entrance
The 8 September 2026 notice closes the side entrance/rear gate for the time being. Allow roughly 10–15 minutes from Omoromachi to the front entrance. Check whether closure notices have changed before visiting.
