Admission

General individual admission is JPY 320 for ages 18 and above and JPY 100 for ages 6–17. Visitors aged 65 and above enter free on presenting identification. Check the official visitor guide for group, local-resident and event fees or concessions.

Opening hours and closed days

From 1 March to 15 October, hours are 07:00–18:00 with admission until 17:30. From 16 October to the end of February, hours are 08:00–17:00 with admission until 16:30. The garden opens year-round; teahouses have separate hours and closing days.

How to get to Kenrokuen

Take the right loop from Kanazawa Station east-side stand 7. Alight at Kenrokuen-shita/Kanazawa Castle and walk about five minutes to Katsurazaka entrance (桂坂口). Mayumizaka entrance (真弓坂口) is nearer if alighting at Hirosaka/21st Century Museum. These stops lead to different garden gates; choose your stop first.
