Ordinary collection admission costs JPY 700, or JPY 400 for university students. Visitors aged 18 and under and high school pupils enter free. Special exhibitions may differ. Aomori-ken viewing from the outdoor passage is free, separate from indoor exhibits.

How to get to Aomori Museum of Art
Board towards Sannai-Maruyama from municipal stop 6 to Kenritsu Bijutsukan-mae · 県立美術館前. The city’s 2026 timetable gives adult one-way JPY 280; check actual-date services/stops. Nebutan-go from Shin-Aomori east is an alternative with different fares. Follow the left pavement and turn right at entrance signs. Official summer video gives about two minutes to entry. Pass floor-one information for the gallery lift to basement level two. Allow ticketing/gallery access separately; follow winter routes in snow.

Outdoor passage hours and stairs
The passage opens from 09:45 to 16:30, with its entrance locked at 16:30. With stairs, return walking alone takes roughly 10–15 minutes. In 2026, it opened on 21 April and closes around the first snow. Ask about usable routes if stairs are difficult or snow is expected.
