Admission
Admission varies by date. On 8 October 2026, prices were JPY 2,800 for ages 16 and over, JPY 1,400 for ages 7–15 and JPY 700 for ages 3–6, with free entry for ages two and under. The same calendar showed adult prices of JPY 3,200 for 10 October and JPY 3,500 for 11–12 October. Select your booking date to check that day's price.
Opening hours and closed days
Hours vary by date, with last admission one hour before closing. On 8 October 2026, hours were 10:30–20:00 and last admission was 19:00. Check the operating calendar for closures or shorter hours on your date.

Time to watch life in the large tanks
Take your time watching marine life in front of the large tanks. If you want to linger at your favourite animals, give the aquarium more time rather than scheduling several other facilities immediately afterwards.
How to get to Kaiyukan
Take the Osaka Metro Chuo Line to Osakako. Leave through Exit 1 and follow signs towards the Ferris wheel and Tempozan Marketplace for about five minutes to Kaiyukan.

Choose your visit date and entry time first
Official school group materials suggest 90–120 minutes for one circuit. Entry queues, meals and travel from the station are extra. If coming straight from the airport, also allow immigration, baggage collection and travel time when choosing your entry slot.
Plan meals before or after your visit
Re-entry ended on 15 June 2026. You cannot leave for a meal and return on the same ticket, so eat before entry or after finishing your visit.
