Admission
Prices vary by date. On 8 October 2026, ages 16 and over were JPY 2,800; ages 7–15 JPY 1,400; ages 3–6 JPY 700; ages 2 and younger free. The same calendar showed adult admission of JPY 3,200 on 10 October and JPY 3,500 on 11–12 October. Select your booking date to check its price.
Opening hours
Hours vary by date; last admission is one hour before closing. On 8 October 2026, hours were 10:30–20:00, last admission 19:00. Check your date’s operating calendar for closure or reduced hours.
What to see at Osaka Aquarium Kaiyukan
Allow longer at the large tanks
Spend time watching marine life at the large tanks. If you want longer with particular animals, reduce consecutive visits to other facilities afterwards and give the aquarium more time.
How to get to Osaka Aquarium Kaiyukan
Take Osaka Metro’s Chuo line to Osakako. From exit 1, follow signs towards the Ferris wheel and Tempozan Marketplace for about five minutes to Kaiyukan.
Before you visit
Choose your date and entry time first
Official school-group guidance allows 90–120 minutes for one circuit. Entry queues, meals and station travel are extra. If coming directly from the airport, allow for immigration, baggage collection and travel when choosing entry time.
Eat before or after visiting
Re-entry ended on 15 June 2026. You cannot leave for a meal and re-enter on the same admission ticket. Plan food before entry or after finishing the visit.
