Ropeway fares for junior high school age and above are JPY 500 one way or JPY 700 return. Fares for primary age and younger are JPY 250 one way or JPY 350 return. One accompanied preschool child per guardian rides free.
Opening hours and closed days
The ropeway normally operates from 09:00 to 17:15 every 15 minutes. There is no regular closing day, but weather or inspections can stop operations. Event extensions apply only on specified dates.

How to get to Onomichi Senkojiyama Ropeway
Walk about 15 minutes from JR Onomichi to the lower station, then ride about 3 minutes. By bus, take an eastbound service to Nagaeguchi (長江口), distinct from Shin-Onomichi-starting bus routes.

Before you visit
To avoid descending stairs
Choose a return ticket if stairs down are difficult. Walking remains at the top. Check operator notices as severe weather or inspections can stop services.

For the JR-pass return discount
The holder presenting JR-WEST RAIL PASS before purchase can buy an adult return for JPY 630 instead of JPY 700. Showing it afterwards does not qualify. The pass alone does not make travel free.
