Admission
Fares for junior high school students and older are JPY 500 one way or JPY 700 return. For primary school children and younger, fares are JPY 250 one way or JPY 350 return. One preschool child travels free with each accompanying guardian.
Opening hours
Services usually run every 15 minutes from 09:00–17:15. There is no regular closing day, but bad weather or inspections may suspend service. Event-related extended hours apply only on the specified dates.

Look across the sea and islands from the hilltop. After going up by ropeway, you can walk down the steps or take the ropeway back.
How to get to Senkoji Ropeway in Onomichi
Walk about 15 minutes from JR Onomichi Station to Sanroku Station, the lower ropeway station. The ride to the summit takes about three minutes. For bus access, take an eastbound bus and get off at Nagaeguchi (長江口). This differs from the bus route starting at Shin-Onomichi Station.

Before you visit
To avoid the steps downhill
Choose a return ticket if walking down the steps would be difficult. There is still walking around the summit even when using the ropeway. Bad weather or inspections may suspend service, so check the operator's notices for the day.

Using a JR pass for a discounted return ticket
The person presenting a JR-WEST RAIL PASS before buying the ropeway ticket can purchase an adult return ticket for JPY 630. The standard return fare is JPY 700. Showing the pass after purchase does not qualify for the discount, and the pass alone does not give a free ropeway ride.
