ANA flight delay or cancellation certificate
Use ANA’s international delay/cancellation certificate search with the local departure date and flight number. It covers the previous six months through the following day. Arrival delays of 15 minutes or less do not qualify for the online certificate. For a codeshare operated by another airline, ask that operator.
Open ANA’s official certificate service
- Copy the operating number and local departure date from your ticket.
- Check that the route and event match the certificate.
- Save the PDF or email and retain the booking/boarding documents. If the online search has no result, ask the airline for a written record.
Ask about a refund, rebooking or rerouting
ANA distinguishes disruption expenses by cause. If an ANA-caused major delay or cancellation prevents arrival on the scheduled date, its departure-day guidance describes accommodation and public-transport cost support. For weather outside its control, ANA may help arrange accommodation but says the traveller pays the costs. Ask staff which arrangements are approved for your case before paying.
Official ANA disruption assistance
Ask ANA whether this is an involuntary disruption and which options apply to your ticket. Request the new airports, dates, baggage arrangements and any extra payment in writing. Ask about meals or accommodation if you need to wait; do not assume expenses will be reimbursed.
If an agency issued the ticket, contact it about the refund or reissue while the operating airline handles airport assistance. Do not choose voluntary cancellation before confirming the disruption options. Official support.
Missing or damaged baggage
Report a missing bag to the arrival baggage desk before leaving and keep the reference number. ANA’s English guidance requires a written damage declaration within seven days of flight arrival; it asks for missing/lost baggage reporting within 21 days from the day after arrival. Telephone contact alone does not replace the damage form. Follow the written instructions for your case.
Keep baggage tags, the report/reference, a delivery address and contact details. Photograph damage and retain itemised essential-purchase receipts. A baggage report, delay certificate and insurance claim are separate documents.
Contact ANA
From India: 1800-210-9274, 24 hours, English/Japanese. This number cannot be called from outside India. From Japan or another country: +81-3-6327-8738, 24 hours; call charges apply.
Official contact page and current hours
At the airport, show your flight number and boarding pass to the airline desk. If you miss the published service hours, use the official help page or arrival baggage staff; emergency airport assistance is separate from reservations.
Japanese phrases to show the counter staff
この便の遅延・欠航証明書を発行していただけますか。
Could you issue a delay or cancellation certificate for this flight?
振替便と払い戻しの選択肢を教えてください。
Please explain my rebooking and refund options.
預けた荷物が届いていません。報告書を作成していただけますか。
My checked bag has not arrived. Could you make a baggage report?
変更後の出発空港とターミナルを確認したいです。
I would like to confirm the departure airport and terminal after the change.
What to save for a complaint or insurance claim
Save the airline notice, original and revised itineraries, boarding pass, certificate, baggage report and receipts. If permitted, photograph the departure board with the date/flight/status and damaged baggage with its tag. Avoid other travellers’ personal details. A photograph alone is not an airline certificate.
Ask your insurer about covered causes, delay thresholds and the written claim deadline. For passenger-rights guidance, read the India–Japan rights and insurance section.
Questions about ANA flight disruptions
How do I get a ANA flight delay or cancellation certificate?
Use ANA’s international delay/cancellation certificate search with the local departure date and flight number. It covers the previous six months through the following day. Arrival delays of 15 minutes or less do not qualify for the online certificate. For a codeshare operated by another airline, ask that operator.
Where are the ANA check-in counters for India–Japan flights?
Delhi (DEL): Terminal 3; confirm the departure floor and row on the airport display. Mumbai (BOM): Terminal 2, international departures on the 4th floor. Confirm the row on arrival. Tokyo Haneda (HND): ANA international flights use Terminal 2 or Terminal 3. Check your flight and date before travelling to the terminal. Tokyo Narita (NRT): Terminal 1 South Wing, 4th-floor international check-in. Confirm the day-specific counter row. Confirm your flight’s assigned row on the day. These check-in locations do not identify a dedicated certificate-issuing desk.
Can I claim insurance with a ANA disruption certificate?
Keep the airline document with your itinerary, boarding pass and receipts. It records the event but does not guarantee insurance payment. Ask your insurer about covered causes, delay thresholds and the written claim deadline.
How can I download or save a ANA delay certificate?
Download the official international certificate after searching the operating flight number or route and local departure date. Keep the issued document; a boarding certificate or a screenshot of the departure board is a different record.
What help or refund can I request after a ANA delay or cancellation?
ANA distinguishes disruption expenses by cause. If an ANA-caused major delay or cancellation prevents arrival on the scheduled date, its departure-day guidance describes accommodation and public-transport cost support. For weather outside its control, ANA may help arrange accommodation but says the traveller pays the costs. Ask staff which arrangements are approved for your case before paying.
