Kawaguchiko in three days: deck or exhibits?
Stay two nights and divide north-shore walks and indoor exhibits. For views from above, ride the ropeway on day one afternoon, then walk Oishi Park on day two. For Fuji exhibits and lake-level scenery, start at the north shore in the morning and visit the centre and Appare on day two.
Use the Red Line for the north shore and Blue Line for the centre, returning via the station to the pier. Both courses visit gems on the final day.

Included: The subtotal covers an adult ropeway return at JPY 1,000 through October 2026 and an adult one-day Kawaguchiko/Saiko/Motosuko loop bus pass at JPY 1,500, used only on the north-shore park day. Oishi Park walking is free. Gem admission at JPY 600 and two ordinary station–museum Red Line rides at JPY 180 each total JPY 960.
Extra costs and conditions: Two hotel nights, meals, luggage storage, return travel outside the prefecture, separate experiences and shopping cost extra. Extra paid travel between your hotel and the station is excluded. Walk to the ropeway; buses and taxis on that section are excluded.
This adds one general adult’s admission and only the listed local transport, checked on 8 October 2026, rather than all accommodation, meals and travel outside the prefecture. When ropeway return rises to JPY 1,200 from 1 November, the partial total becomes JPY 3,660 if other items stay the same. The bus day pass applies only on north-shore park day; other days use ordinary return fares. Compare singles and one-/two-day passes for actual rides if adding buses. - Facility entrance → North and south hall exhibits
Explore nature exhibits in the north hall and cultural exhibits in the south hall in the morning. Learn through displays about Mount Fuji after yesterday’s north-shore views. Both halls are free. Usual hours are 09:00–17:00, July–August 08:30–18:00 and December–February 09:00–16:30. The facility guide lists last admission 15 minutes before closing, while its official FAQ gives a different 16:30 value. Confirm late entry with the facility before an afternoon visit. The south hall closes on the fourth Tuesday, or the next day if it is a public holiday. The north hall is listed as open year-round; check temporary notices. Individual visits need no reservation; explanations and programmes have separate conditions.

- Kawaguchiko Station → Funatsu Pier → Appare circular cruise
Return to the station, have lunch and a break, then head to Funatsu Pier. The operator gives about ten minutes on foot to the ticket desk and pier in front of the free prefectural Funatsu car park. This is separate from the ropeway lakeside station across Route 137. Check regular/summer/winter cruise periods and suspension notices before choosing an afternoon Appare departure. Allow the centre return, lunch, pier walk and ticket queues before a roughly 20-minute cruise returning to the same pier. Crowds, capacity or weather can prevent your chosen sailing; check boarding at the pier. If Appare is suspended after the morning centre visit, omit the cruise and return to your station-area hotel.
